KL Rahul Takes Charge As Captain For South Africa ODIs After Rohit's Injury

KL Rahul will lead the Indian team in the three-match ODI series in South-Africa, as Rohit Sharma failed to recover from the hamstring injury. The decision to not send Rohit to South Africa was taken keeping that frequent injury, and other events in mind, including the World cup events in the coming two years, Chetan Sharma, Chairman of selectors said. Moreover, Jasprit Bumrah will be Vice Captain.

Jadeja, Vihari In, Hardik Out For India's England Tour, WTC Final

Punjab Kings' Skipper KL Rahul Diagnosed With Appendicitis; Hospitalised

In-form Punjab Kings’ skipper KL Rahul has been diagnosed with acute appendicitis and is set to miss the remainder of IPL 2021. Reportedly, Rahul complained of severe abdomen pain following which he was admitted to the hospital. Leading run getter in the tournament with 331 runs, the wicket-keeper batsman has also hit four half centuries. Currently, Mayank Agarwal or Chris Gayle are likely to be the front runners.

KL Rahul Sustains Wrist Injury; Ruled Out Of India-Australia Series

The BCCI on January 5 ruled out KL Rahul from the remaining two test matches against Australia after the batsman sustained wrist injury. Reportedly, Rahul injured his left wrist on January 2 during the net practice session at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Subsequently, he has returned to India and will be at the National Cricket Academy, Bangalore for further treatment. Rahul had not played any match in the ongoing test series.
