National Lok Adalat Scheduled For November 12
The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution announced that National Lok Adalat will be held on November 12 across the country. The Lok Adalat system will help disposing pending cases through mutual settlement between parties. The consumer commissions have been directed to make a list of cases which can possibly be settled. This list of pending cases will then be transferred to Lok Adalat.

Odisha: Man Sues PM After Successive Failures in Receiving Aadhar Card
Jitendra Kumar Sethy, a daily wager from Odisha has filed a case against PM Modi in Lok Adalat after failing to receive an Aadhaar Card after 21 attempts. According to the petition, due to technical issues, Sethy’s fingerprint could not get registered. “I am not able to access different government welfare schemes...I decided to sue the Prime Minister as he is the one who is responsible for the implementation of Aadhaar,” Sethy said.
