DCGA Issues Warning, Asks Airlines To Mandate Mask Wearing

The Director General of Civil Aviation (DCGA) asked Indian airlines to mandate mask-wearing, amid the rising number of Covid-19 cases in India. On August 17, the DCGA said, if a passenger shows disagreement to comply with the Covid-19 protocols, strict actions will be taken against the passenger. The aviation ministry also warned to put passengers under "unruly" list and no flying list.

Chandigarh Goes Mask Free As COVID-19 Restrictions Lifted

The administration of Chandigarh (UT) lifted all the COVID-19 restrictions, implemented in 2020, when the first wave of the Chinese virus broke out. As the COVID-19 cases are declining, the Chandigarh government lifted restrictions like curfew, mask-wearing, and social distancing, under section 22 of the Disaster Management Act.
