Chandigarh Crime Branch Nabs Security Guard Under Bank Robbery

Chandigarh crime branch police arrested a security guard Sunil Kumar on April 14, in a robbery of Rs 4.04 crore from the Axis bank. Deployed by MSF security agency, Kumar was at night duty on April 11 and went missing while the currency chest of the bank was damaged. However, the CCTV footages revealed Kumar taking two packets containing 20 bundles of Rs 2,000 notes.

Crime Show-Inspired 16-Yr-Old Teen Kills Grandmother

Influenced by crime shows, a 16-year-old boy killed his grandmother, 83, with an iron rod and set her on fire on April 12 in Haryana. He also misled his parents to believe that some strangers barged into the house and attacked them. However, during the interrogation, the boy confessed that he committed the crime as he wanted to get rid of her scolding. Later, police sent him to a juvenile home.

Punjab And Haryana HC Asks To Make Safe Houses For Runaway Couples

Milk At Rs 100/Litre In Haryana As Protest Against Rising Fuel Prices

As a protest against rising fuel prices and farm laws, the Khap Panchayats in Haryana increased the milk prices to Rs 100 per litre. "We have decided to give milk at Rs 100/litre. We urge dairy farmers to sell milk at the same price to government cooperative societies," said a Panchayat spokesperson. However, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had earlier clarified that the prices have soared due to low production internationally.

Women Participation Highest In Bihar Police; National Share Rises By 16%

The Bihar Police has the highest share of female personnel among all the Indian states. It has 25.3% female personnel, followed by Himachal Pradesh (19.15%) and Union Territory of Chandigarh (18.78%). Notably, the percentage of female personnel in the national data has registered a 16% increase from the previous data.
