PM Modi To Inaugurate Agra Metro Works On December 7
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the Agra Metro construction on December 7. The double-corridor project stretching to a length of 29.4 kilometres will connect the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Sikandra with rail and bus terminus. The environment-friendly metro project will approximately cost to Rs 8379.62 crore and would be completed within five years. Reportedly, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath will join the ceremony.

Delhi Metro Resumes Full Services, Urges Passengers to Avoid Peak Hours
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on September 12 started running trains in full capacity with regular timings. The Metro is now operating on all routes with the pre-COVID timings: from 6 AM to 11 PM. The Metro services were shut on March 22 to prevent the spread of COVID-19. However, the DMRC asked the passengers to follow the safety guidelines, and suggested to avoid travelling in peak hours.

Kolkata: Special Metro Services to be Provided for NEET Aspirants on Exam Day
On September 9, Kolkata Metro Railway Spokesperson Indrani Banerjee informed that a special service of the metro will be provided to several thousand National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) aspirants and their guardians on September 13. The action has been taken to ease the traveling of the students. Reportedly, 66 trains (33 up and 33 down), will be functioning on that day.

Kerala: Final Stretch of Phase 1 of Kochi Metro Completed
Amid the COVID-19 fear, the final stretch of the phase-1 of the Kochi metro was inaugurated on September 7 by the Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan through a video conference. The final stretch extends from Thykoodam to Petta. Reportedly, phase-1 of the Kochi metro has cost about Rs 6,218 crore. Also, the walls at Petta station pay tribute to the fishermen community for their life-saving contributions during the 2018 Kerala floods.

Noida To Resume Metro Services From September 7; Eight Hours A Day
The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) official has confirmed that the city will resume the Aqua-Line services from September 7. However, the operational timings of the trains will be restricted between 7 AM to 11 AM in the morning and 5 PM to 9 PM in the evening with a 15 minutes frequency from Monday to Saturday. Passengers must wear masks and follow social-distancing guidelines.

Uttar Pradesh Government to Resume Metro Services from September 7
