Centre Axes Several Restrictions In Fresh COVID-19 Guidelines
Relaxing the lockdown restrictions, the Union Home Ministry on January 27 released fresh guidelines against COVID-19. Effective from February 1-28, the guidelines lifted the constraints on social, religious, cultural, sports and educational gatherings which were imposed in March 2020. Home Ministry's Advisory Makes FIR Compulsory In Crime Against Women
The Home Ministry has directed the states and Union Territories for compulsory registration of FIRs and immediate police action in "crime against women". It instructed to complete the investigation process in two months and warned of stringent actions in case of failure. Home Ministry Allows Political Gatherings Ahead Of Elections In Bihar
Union Home Ministry on October 8 entrusted the state governments to decided on the political gatherings of more than 100 people.
