Telangana Man Arrested For Raping And Impregnating His 13-Year-Old Niece

A man from Telangana's Mahbubabad district has allegedly raped and impregnated his 13-year-old niece. Hailing from the same village, the 35-year-old accused was assaulting the girl for the last six months. Her five-month pregnancy came to light after her family members checked her at a local government hospital. The accused has been filed under section 376 of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Premier League Player Held For Alleged Rape; Released Later

One of the star players of the UK's Premier League football has been apprehended on suspicion of rape and false imprisonment. The player, whose name was not disclosed due to legal reasons, was released soon after his arrest. Police said that the accused was released "under investigation pending further enquiries". Reportedly, the player was also fined for not adhering to COVID-19 precautionary protocols.

Forensic Report Rules Out Rape in Hathras Death: ADGP

Uttar Pradesh Law and Order ADGP, Prashant Kumar, has stated that forensic reports suggest the victim of Hathras case was not sexually assaulted. Citing the report, he added that the sample had no sperm and hence the cause of death was not rape. He also mentioned that the facts were misrepresented to create 'caste violence' and 'disturb social harmony' in the state. However, the family members have demanded a CBI probe in the matter.

Murderer Arrested; Allegedly Killing a 6-year-old in Rajkot

A 40-year-old accused was arrested from Gujarat's Karena village on September 19, after he murdered a 6-year-old in August for resisting rape. The Police informed that the criminal identified as Vikram was sentenced to jail for life in 2002, but escaped in 2012. The accused's image was circulated all over the WhatsApp. He had also raped a five-year-old girl in 2015, and allegedly tried to kill her.

Kerala: Ambulance Driver Rapes COVID Positive Teenager

On September 5, a 19-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an ambulance driver in Kerala's Pathanamthitta District. The victim was COVID positive and was on her way to hospital. Reportedly, the accused Noufal took her to a secluded place and sexually assaulted her. Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja ordered to dismiss the driver and ensured that actions will be taken against the accused.

UP: Man Attempts to Rape Minor Girl in Noida; Arrested

UP Police on August 27 arrested a 42-year-old man, who allegedly tried to rape a minor girl in Noida. The 7-year-old victim's family complained to police following the incident, which , reportedly, occurred on August 26. According to the police, the accused has been booked under the section of IPC and the POCSO Act. "The accused and the victim are neighbours," the police informed further.
