In a shocking incident, a seven-year-old boy has been accused of sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl from his neighbourhood in Kanpur Dehat district. The incident happened in a village under the limits of Akbarpur police station of the district late on Sunday night, came to light after police lodged FIR under sections 376 of IPC and section 5/6 of the POCSO Act on the complaint of the girl’s mother.

In a shocking incident, a 68-year-old allegedly raped a minor, student of class 5 in West Bengal's Darjeeling. According to sources, the accused raped the victim for one month repeatedly and threatened her to death, if she speaks about it to anybody. He even used to give her Rs 10 for every time he raped the girl. A case has been registered under POCSO Act and an investigation is underway.

In a horrific inicdent, a 12-year-old girl was raped, bitten multiple times and brutalised allegedly by two men working for the trust managing a famous temple. The incident was reported in Maihar town of Satna district in Madhya Pradesh, confirmed police on July 28. The two men, who have been arrested, also allegedly inserted a hard object in her private parts. A case has been registered for further investigation.

In Delhi's Prashant Vihar, a 20-year-old college student was allegedly raped by a man, who the city police have arrested on July 13. The accused identified as Ravi Solanki, posed as a cop and threatened the victim to post her intimate video with her boyfriend online. He raped her and fled the apartment. When the victim confined to her boyfriend, the couple registered a case, leading to an investigation.

An 18-year-old girl was raped and strangulated to death in her hostel room, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. According to the police, the accused was identified as Prakash Kanojia, a security guard of the hostel and has committed suicide. Notably, after committing the rape and murder of the victim, a second-year polytechnic student, Prakash allegedly ended his life, and his body was found at railway tracks. A case is registered for investigation.
