Multiplex Association Requests Government to Reopen Theatres
The Multiplex Association of India on September 15 appealed to the government to reopen cinema halls, with tweeting hashtag #UnlockCinemaSaveJobs. The association mentioned that they have suffered a loss of Rs 9,000 crore over the past six months. There are over 10,000 cinemas across India and over two lakh people are employed, it said further. Richa Chadda Back to Shoot after Six Months: Bollywood
Bollywood actor Richa Chadda who was last seen in "Panga", which was released in January, has resumed shoot after six months. The actor noticed that the crew was happy to be back at work. She also asked if there is any news on when cinema halls will open. Several actors and producers along with the Multiplex Association of India (MAI) requested the Centre to reopen cinema halls.
