Tragic Accident Kills Shiv Sangram Leader Vinayak Mete
Shiv Sangram party head Vinayak Mete passed away in the wee hours of August 14, in an accident. Happened at 5:30 am, Mete's car was involved in an accident on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, leading to serious injuries. Vinayak Mete was one of two people who sustained injuries and passed away while receiving care at the MGM Hospital. Notably, Vinayak Mete was travelling to Mumbai, regarding the Maratha reservation discussion.

4 Killed, 7 Injured In Road Accident On Mumbai-Pune Expressway: Maharashtra
In Raigad's Khopoli, at least four people were killed after a speeding truck rammed into several cars from behind on February 15. The incident occurred on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway at 6:30 AM. However, a total of 7 people have been injured, out of which 4 are in critical condition. As per the police, 4 out of 7 has been admitted to the hospital and others have been discharged.

Maharashtra: Truck Rams MSRTC Bus; 1 Killed, 16 Injured
In a tragic incident, a MSRTC bus, traveling from Satara to Mumbai, was severely hit by an unidentified truck on the expressway, leaving one dead and 16 injured. Reportedly, the accident took place near Panvel exit on November 26. The passenger sitting behind the driver died on the spot while others were severely injured. "After investigating the nearby CCTV footage, the [truck] driver will be arrested," says API Subhash Pujari.
