17 Year Old Muslim Boy Murdered In Muzaffarnagar
A 17-year-old brother of a Muslim singer, who courted controversy for singing a bhajan, was stabbed to death by unidentified assailants, UP police confirmed on August 6. The victim, Khursheed, is the cousin of singer Farmani Naaz, and was killed over a heated argument with three bikers, said police. The police has sent the body for postmortem. Furthermore, a case has been registered and an investigation has been launched.

Hindutva Mob Thrashes Muslim Youth In Jharkhand, Video Goes Viral
Muslim youth named Sajid was beaten by Hindutva mob in Jharkhand, on December 23. Sajid was alleged of having an affair with a Hindu girl, following which the mob hung him upside-down and thrashed him badly. A video in which the mob was beating Sajid and he was pleading mercy, went viral on Twitter. Notably, the incident happened a day after the Jharkhand Government approved anti-lynching law, protecting people.
