BJP Candidate Who Supported Nathuram Godse Wins Chennai Local Body Elections

BJP candidate Uma Anandan, won the Greater Chennai Corporation Council polls from Ward 134 in West Mambalam, on February 22. In addition, She had secured 5,539 votes and defeated the Congress and AIADMK candidates in the area. However, the candidate came into the limelight after a video circulated on social media where she praised and expressed her support to Nathuram Godse in an interview.

Hindu Mahasabha To Make Godse's Statue With Ambala Jail Soil

The Hindu Mahasabha said in a statement, that it will be making a statue of Nathuram Godse from the soil brought from Ambala Central Jail, where the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi was hanged. Besides, Mahasabha activists have already installed the statue of Godse and Apte at 'Balidan Dham' in Uttar Pradesh. "Statues of Godse and Apte will be installed at the Mahasabha’s office in Gwalior", said President of Hindu Mahasabha.

BJP MP Pragya Thakur Calls Nathuram Godse 'A Patriot' Again

Sparking a controversy, BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur has once again called the Mahatma Gandhi's assasin, Nathuram Godse, as "a patriot". The Malegoan blast accused, Pragya, was reacting to Digvijaya Singh's remarks, in which he asked Godse supporters to "have some shame". The BJP MP had earlier termed Godse as "patriot" in the Parliament as well, for which she faced severe criticism and had to apologize.
