Russia & China Hold Joint Naval Drills In Japanese Sea

Moscow and Beijing have cultivated closer military and diplomatic ties even when their relation with the west have soured. The combined forces are practising "shooting targets" designed to imitate enemy surface ships, and held air defence drills near Japan Shores. "The task of the patrols demonstrating Russian and Chinese flags was to show peace and stability between the two countries", said Russia's Defence Minister in a statement.

India, Saudi Arabia Set To Carry Out First-Ever Naval Exercise

India and Saudi Arabia mark their first-ever naval exercise together as part of the growing defense cooperation. Indian Navy's guided-missile destroyer INS Kochi arrived in Saudi Arabia on August 9 for the "Al-Mohed Al-Hindi 2021" exercise. The warship carried out an exercise with the UAE Navy, Zayad talwar before reaching Saudi Arabia. Indian and Saudi fleet commanders held a meeting ahead of the exercise on August 10.

INS Talwar Set Sail To Participate In Exercise Cutlass Express 2021

INS Talwar is participating in 'Cutlass Express 2021', a naval exercise along the East Coast of Africa from July 26 to August 6. According to the Defence Ministry, this exercise will improve integrated maritime law enforcement capacity, encourage national and regional security. Besides, countries like the US, UK, and India as well as 12 other Eastern African nations are a part of the 2021 edition of naval exercises.
