Indian Navy Likely To Exetend Lease Of Sea Guardian Drones
With Quad nations joining hands-on maritime domain awareness in the Indo-Pacific, India plans to speed up the acquisition of armed drones from the US. The decision came despote the fact that the Indian Navy is working towards extending the lease of two General Atomics-manufactured Sea Guardian surveillance drones, set to expire in January 2024. The Indian Navy is satisfied with the output of its surveillance version, the Sea Guardian.

Navy Helicopter Have Emergency Landing Near Arabian Sea, Crew Member Rescued
A navy helicopter ditched off the Mumbai coast due to a technical snag, on March 8. The Indian Navy helicopter ditched close to the coast near the Arabian Sea. Furthermore, the flight was on a routine sortie; three crew members were rescued by naval patrol craft after immediate search and rescue. A probe to investigate the incident has been ordered. Indian Navy Successfully Test MRSAM, Rajnath Singh Congratulates Navy
In a major boost to the Atmarnirbhar India, the Indian Navy successfully undertook MRSAM (Medium Range Surface to Air Missile) firing from INS Visakhapatnam. Afghan Heroin Worth Rs 1,200 Crore Seized From Iranian Vessel; 6 Held In Kerala
The Indian Navy in a joint operation with NCB, seized 200 Kg of Afghan heroin worth Rs 1,200 crore from an Iranian shipping vessel, informed NCB on October 7. According to NCB’s Deputy Director General Sanjay Kumar Singh, six Iranian nationals have been arrested from the vessel. The vessel has been seized, and all the crew members have been arrested under relevant sections of the NDPS Act.

PM Narendra Modi commissioned INS Vikrant, India's first indigenous aircraft into the Indian Navy, on September 2. Modi Ji commissioned the aircraft at 9:30 am, at Kochin Shipyard Limited, Kochin, Kerala. The commissioned aircraft will be a boost to the maritime security of India, with advanced features. Indian Navy Receives Applications From Over 10,000 Women Under Agnipath Scheme
Over 10,000 women have registered for recruitment to Indian Navy under Agnipath scheme. The Indian Navy is yet to decide the final number of Naval Agniveers it will induct in 2022. Reportedly, the Indian Navy will open the online application process during July 15 to 30. This is the first time women are allowed to join the Naval forces and be deployed at warships.
