Rajasthan: NGT Sends Notice to Authorities Over Endangering GIB Habitat
The National Green Tribunal has slapped notices to Rajasthan government and Environment Ministry on building grid sub-station and transmission lines in Jaisalmer's forests, a habitat to endangered Great Indian Bustard (GIB). Alleged of violating Forest Act, 1980 and Biodiversity Act, 2002, the tribunal sought responses from authorities within six weeks. The issue sparked after a GIB died after colliding with power lines.

Maharashtra: NGT Orders Restoration Of Dhamapur Lake
Hearing a 2017 application of Maharashtra's Sindhudurga residents, the National Green Tribunal ordered restoration of 490-year-old Dhamapur Lake. Complete Notifying Eco-sensitive Zones in Western Ghats by Dec 31: NGT to MoEF

Create Restoration Plans for UK's Sitarganj Polluting Units: NGT to CPCB

NGT Warns IOC for Generating Excess 'Oxide' than the Specified Limit

NGT Questions Environment Ministry for Not Replying on Pollution Related Plea
NGT questioned Environment Ministry for failing to reply on plea that mentioned burning of imported cheap waste paper and road sweep waste at brick kilns. The plea alleged that the issues mentioned were causing air pollution. NGT also noted the absence of proper mechanism in this regard. It has directed the ministry to file its response before October 14. It also asked CPCB to ensure no unregistered plastic firm operates.

MP: NGT Seeks Response from State Authorities Over 18-yr-old's Petition
National Green Tribunal (NGT) send out notices and sought response from the Environment ministry and Madhya Pradesh state authorities, over a petition seeking protection of Upper Lake in Bhopal. Petitioner, 18-year-old Aarya Shrivastava, approached Tribunal over the urban constructions along the banks of Upper lake, beyond Bhadbhada bridge. Green bench asked the authorities to reply within four weeks time.
