Assam Police Seizes 88.1 Kg Drugs, Arrests 1 Person
The Assam police seized 3.1 kg of heroin and 85 kg of opium from a truck, on April 29. The search operation at Srirampur Gate was conducted after receiving a tip-off. The truck was coming from Manipur and the drugs were kept in the oil tank of the truck, which was being taken to North India. The Assam police said, "We apprehended one person. Our investigation is on".

Jharkhand: NCB Seizes Opium Worth Rs 60 Lakh, Suspects Interstate Drug Trade
Narcotics Control Bureau will carry an investigation on the financial backing of interstate drug trade in Jharkhand. The vigilance came after the agency seized opium worth Rs 60 lakh from Jharkhand in last month.
