Pakistan Floods: 19 People Die In Last 24 Hours, Death Toll Nearing 1,200
As many as 19 persons died in the last 24 hours in Pakistan to the ongoing flood condition, on September 2. With this, the death toll has gone up to 1,186, since June 14. In the last 24 hours, 12 died in Sindh, four in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and three in Balochistan. Notably, the deceased include nine children. Also, the floods have hit over 80 districts wrecking havoc.

China Despatches 2 Military Cargo Aircrafts To Provide Aid To Flood-Hit Pakistan
Coming to Pakistan’s aid amid the grim flood situation across the country, China has despatched two large military cargo aircrafts to deliver supplies. The aircrafts left from Southwest China’s Sichuan, and are capable of carrying over 60 tonnes of cargo. The aircraft is scheduled to deliver 3,000 tents and other aid to Pakistan. Pakistan Floods: Railway Services Suspended In Balochistan For 10 Days
The flood situation in Pakistan’s Balochistan continues to stay grim, with the Railways services having been suspended for 10 days. However, railway authorities are likely to extend the suspension, stating that the situation will mostly remain the same even after 15 days. This has come after, owing to floods, the Naseerabad railway track was washed away and Harak railway bridge was damaged.

Death Toll In Pakistan Surpasses 1,000 As Rain Continues To Bring Floods
At least 1,033 people have died and 1,527 have been wounded in Pakistan as a result of rainfall and floods since June, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). Nearly 119 people have perished and 71 have been wounded in the previous 24 hours. A total of 949,858 dwellings have been damaged or destroyed. Floods have affected at least 110 districts in Pakistan, with 72 of them declaring catastrophe.

BSF Troops Shoot Pakistani Drug Smuggler While Attempting To Cross Border
In Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district, across the International Border (IB), Border Security Force (BSF) troops shot a Pakistani intruder, informed officials on August 25. According to the BSF spokesperson, the intruder was trying to smuggle drugs into the border. Reportedly, the intruder suffered bullet wound, and managed to flee the spot. Pakistani Diplomat Booked For Sexual Harassment In Spain
Consul General of Pakistan and senior Pakistani Diplomat in the Spanish city of Barcelona has been booked for charges of sexual harassment. The diplomat identified as Mirza Salman Baig, has been accused of sexual harassment by a local staffer of the consulate.
