IMD Issues Cyclone Mocha Alert Forming Over Bay Of Bengal

A cyclone named "Mocha" is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal, causing heavy to very heavy rainfall and cyclonic thunderstorm in West Bengal. In addition, Odisha has been put on alert, confirmed the Indian Meteorological Department. Furthermore, the cyclone will also affect Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, bringing heavy to very heavy rainfall. An advisory for people near coastal regions has also been issued.

Telangana CM To Visit Rain Hit Areas In Telugu State

Telangana districts witnessed heavy rainfall in the past few days, resulting in crop damage of farmers. In this regard, the Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao is scheduled to visit the rain-affected regions and take a view of the situation.  After the visit in districts like Mahabubabad, Karimnagar, Khammam and Warangal, CM KCR is likely to meet the farmers, who suffered a huge loss amid crop damage in the regions.

Death Toll In Pakistan Surpasses 1,000 As Rain Continues To Bring Floods

At least 1,033 people have died and 1,527 have been wounded in Pakistan as a result of rainfall and floods since June, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). Nearly 119 people have perished and 71 have been wounded in the previous 24 hours. A total of 949,858 dwellings have been damaged or destroyed. Floods have affected at least 110 districts in Pakistan, with 72 of them declaring catastrophe.

Mumbai Weather Dept Predicts Intense Rainfall For Next 24 Hours

The Mumbai Meteorological department issued rain alert in the Maharashtra Capital. As per the weather department, heavy showers are predicted on August 16 and August 17, causing trouble to commuters due to water logging and heavy traffic. Furthermore, there will be a high tide of 4.39 metres in the Arabian Sea here at 2:57 pm, which is a major cause of the predicted rainfall in the city.

Maharashtra: Flooding Continues In Wardha Due To Heavy Rains; Orange Alert Issued In Gadchiroli, Gondia

Flooding continues to wreak havoc in parts of Maharashtra's Wardha district, as the region saw constant rains and overflowing dams, and rescue mission continues. Regional Meteorological Centre in Mumbai issued an orange alert in Gadchiroli and Gondia on July 18, anticipating thunderstorms and lightning with heavy rainfall. 102 people died due to rain and flooding from June 1 which impacted at least 28 districts.

Thane House Collapse Amid Rain, No Casualties Reported

In the Rabodi area of Maharashtra's city, a portion of a house collapsed, amid heavy rainfall, on July 12. The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) Chief Disaster Management Cell confirmed the incident and assured us that no one was injured in the incident.  Occurred at Rehmat Nagar locality of Rabodi, the Local firemen and a team of the RDMC rushed to the spot and provided assistance, shifting people to safer accommodation.

IMD Forecasts Moderate To Heavy Rainfall In Delhi Till July 10

Delhi received light to moderate rainfall on July 3, with the maximum temperature settling at 35.7 degrees Celsius. With estimates of moderate to heavy rainfall, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has declared a yellow alert for the next two days and an "orange" alert for July 6. The IMD predicts that till July 10, Delhi will see a typically gloomy sky with light showers and thunderstorms.
