Late Sushant Singh Rajput's Family Disappointed Over Court's Decision
Late Actor Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Meetu Singh expressed her grief over social media as "extremely disheartening" upon the judgement of Delhi HC. Rajput's father Krishna Kishore Singh had filed a plea in the court to use his son's name in his biopic film. However, the Court rejected his appeal seeking a bar on any film or venture that may use Sushant Singh Rajput's name or likeness.

Delhi HC Slaps 20 Lakh Fine On Juhi Chawla Over Her Plea Against 5G
The Delhi high court has dismissed actor Juhi Chawla's plea against the 5G network rollout in India. Terming the plea as an "abuse of the process of law," the court slapped Rs 20 lakh fine on Juhi. Warning him of wasting the court’s time, the bench called Chawla’s plea as a conduct for "publicity". Reportedly, the fine money will be used to help road accident victims.

Delhi HC Agrees To Hear Plea To Restrain Media Trial Of Sushil Kumar
In order to put stop to media trials in wrestler Sushil Kumar’s case, the Delhi High court is likely to hear the plea on May 28 filed by a law student. The petition filed by the student stated that, the media trials on the wrestler’s case have raffled the dignity, reputation and career of Olympian athlete. However, the plea also seeks to set standard rules in reporting criminal cases.

SC Adjourns Plea Of Gujarat Riots Victim Over Petetioner's Request
Over Zakia Jafri's plea against SIT's clean chit to PM Narendra Modi over 2002 riots, the Supreme Court adjourned by two weeks on April 13. The matter will be discussed on next hearing as the petitioner has circulated a letter seeking adjournment in the case, said Justice A M Khanwilkar. Earlier, the plea was scheduled on March 16 for hearing in the apex court but was deferred to April 13.

SC Seeks Reply On Plea To Conduct Fresh Polls On NOTA Majority Seats
In response to a plea soliciting fresh elections for seats where NOTA gains maximum vote, the Supreme Court on March 15 sought responses from the Centre and Election Commission. Reportedly, the plea filed by BJP leader-advocate Ashwini Upadhyay urges the poll panel to declare the elections as void if the majority in the constituency opts for NOTA. Besides, the petition stated that people have the right to reject and choose a leader.

SC To Hear Plea Advocating Caste-Wise Census For Backward Classes
Ahead of the 2021 census, the Supreme Court on February 26 agreed to hear a plea urging the Centre to conduct a caste-wise census survey for backward classes. Aimed at bringing efficient budgetary allocation, the plea sought to exclude ‘creamy layer’ and non-backward classes from the particular caste. Moreover, stating that the Census does not include a backward class column, the plea mentioned the government's plight in allocating funds.
