Centre Allows Post-Mortem After Sunset; British Rules Come To End
Hospitals in India have been allowed to conduct post-mortems after the sunset, if hospitals have adequate infrastructure at night, according to the Centre on November 16. However, the new rule doesn't allow post-mortem in case of homicide, suicide, rape, decomposed bodies, and suspected foul play. Six Cows Died, 12 Severely Sick Due To Food Shortage In UP's Etawah
About six cows were found dead and 12 severely sick at a gaushala (cow shelter) in UP's Etawah district on June 28. Although the cause of death remains uncertain, the shelter workers said that the animals are dying due to food shortages. Manish Yadav Patre, Sankat Mochan Balaji temple's manager (who runs the gaushala) blamed the authorities for not releasing funds for the cows to be taken care of.
