Indian Grandmaster Praggnanandhaa Promises Gold To India
Buoyed by his World Cup silver medal, GM R Praggnanandhaa is confident of Indian team's chances of winning gold at the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou. Recently, on September 1, India's new chess sensation Praggnanandhaa was felicitated by Sports Minister Anurag Thakur at his residence. After felicitation, he said feels India has a "good chance" of winning gold at the Asian Games. Praggnanandhaa is a part of 10-member Indian team.

16 Year Old R Praggnanandhaa Defeats Dutch Giri In Chessable Masters Tournament
Young Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa reached the final of the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour Chessable Masters tournament. He became the first Indian to reach finals after he defeated Dutch GM Anish Giri in a match. On May 25, Young Grandmaster scored 3.5-2.5, after the four-game rapid online semifinal.
