India Logs 15,102 New Covid-19 Cases With 278 Deaths

India reports 15,102 new cases of COVID-19 on February 23, 31,377 recoveries, and 278 deaths in the last 24 hours, confirmed the Union Health Ministry. While the active caseload in India is at 1,64,522, the current recovery rate in the country stands at 98.42%. However, on February 22, Delhi reported 498 Covid-19 cases and one death. Moreover, as of now, India has administered 176.19 crore vaccine doses to people.

Kerala Issues New Travel Guidelines For International Passengers: COVID-19

International passengers arriving in Kerala needs to follow a set of new guidelines, issued by the Kerala Health Department. NRIs and international travelers arriving in Kerala with COVID-19 symptoms, will be required to undertake an RT-PCR test. The airline officers will select the passengers. AP Govt Slashes RT-PCR COVID-19 Test Prices, New Price At Rs 350

Recently, on January 19, the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led Andhra Pradesh Government slashed RT-PCR test prices. Done to detect COVID-19, the tests will now be done for Rs 350, instead of previous Rs 499 at laboratories and hospitals. The Government asked the concerned authority and district officers to ensure, all labs and hospitals are following the new prices, issued by the state government.

RT-PCR Test Cost Reduces To Rs 1,975: Mumbai

Cost of RT-PCR test for COVID-19 has been reduced to Rs. 1,975 in Mumbai. The price control committee of the Maharashtra Health Department emphasised reducing the cost which was Rs 3,900 per test earlier. However, after repeated nudging of the State Government and Chief Secretary Pradeep Vyas, the MIAL reduced the price. The new price will be in effect immediately, especially when the global Omicron threat is increasing in Mumbai.

Five Diagnostics Centres Named In COVID-19 Testing Scam

The houses and offices of top executives of five diagnostics firms were raided by the Enforcement Directorate on August 6 after the Uttarakhand Police filed a case over money laundering. During Kumbh Mela, the Uttarakhand government had given contracts to these firms for rapid antigen and RT-PCR testing. However, along with less than the required number of testing, the labs recorded fake entries and bogus bills.
