Samsung recently released its first rugged smartphone with 5G compatibility, new Galaxy XCover6 Pro. The new model, catering Asian markets will be a 6.6-inch PLS LCD screen, FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. According to Counterpoint's Global Monthly Handset Sales Tracker for April 2022, the top ten smartphone models, which included Apple, Samsung, and Xiaomi, accounted for 21% of the global smartphone market. Xiaomi's Redmi Note 11 LTE secured a place in the top ten of the list of the most popular smartphones sold worldwide. Samsung earned four spots on the list. Five of Apple's newest iPhone 13 models topped the list.

Samsung is partnering with South Korean company CJ ENM to build a virtual studio that uses the 'The Wall' television technique to “spearhead the production of future video content”. 2021 The Wall edition is a flawless end-to-end modular display with MicroLED panels with 15,360 x 2,160-pixel 8K resolution. To counter the dependence on China for electronic manufacturing equipment, Samsung has completed the construction of its display manufacturing unit in UP's Noida. Announcing the development on June 20, the company's CEO Ken Kang said that we found a better industrial environment in India so we decided to shift the unit from China to Noida. Besides, UP's CM Yogi Adityanath termed it the success of 'Make in India'.
