Singapore on December 30 became the first Asian country to begin its vaccination programme with Pfizer-BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine. Over 30 staff at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases were among the first to receive the vaccine's shot. Moreover, the second dose of the vaccine will be administered on January 20. US-based start-up Eat Just has secured an approval from the Singapore government to sell lab-grown meat, which is created from cells of animal muscles. Reportedly, the meat will be sold as nuggets and though it was expected to cost around $50 each, the company's CEO said that it would be priced the same as premium chicken.
