PM Modi Inaugurates 2 New Rail Lines, Thane & Diva: Maharashtra
PM Narendra Modi inaugurated two new rail lines, Thand and Diva in Maharashtra. The inauguration event was held virtually on February 18 evening, in Delhi. Constructed worth Rs 620 crores, rail lines will reduce long distance trains and suburban trains traffic in Mumbai. The rail lines will cover 1.4 km long flyover, 21 minor and 3 major bridges. Besides rail-lines, PM Modi also flagged off two suburban trains in Mumbai.

Mumbai To Get 8 More Air-Conditioned Local Trains
The Western Railway (WR) is set to introduce eight more air-conditioned local trains in Mumbai on November 22. The new trains will increase the current fleet to 20 trains in the suburban section of the WR. Reportedly, four out of 8 trains will offer services in the ''Up'' and ''Down'' direction, as per PTI. Reportedly, two trains will facilitate the journey of commuters during peak hours.

Mumbai Locals To Be Run At 100% Capacity With Restriction
The suburban services in Mumbai will be run at 100% capacity of the pre-pandemic level from October 28 with some restrictions. Reportedly, all the government employees and essential services staffers can board the train. Among the general public, who've received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine can travel after 14 days of the vaccination. People below 18 years of age will be issued a monthly pass for travel.
