Three Booked In Uttar Pradesh For Offering Prayers In Taj Mahal
For offering prayers in the Taj Mahal compound, three members of the Hindu Mahasabha including a woman have been booked in Uttar Pradesh. The member including the the provisional president of Hindu Mahasabha were nabbed by the Central Industrial Security Force personnel and later handed over to the state police. A case has been registered against the members, said Umesh Chandra Tripathi, the Inspector of Tajganj police station.

Police Detain 4 Activists For Chanting Shiv Chalisa In Taj Mahal
The Agra police have detained four people for reciting Shiv Chalisa and waving the saffron flag inside the premises of the Taj Mahal. Their act was considered a security breach as no religious activities are permitted inside the premises. As per reports, the accused carried the flag and chalisa inside the premises due to COVID-induced halt of physical checking. All four accused belong to the Hindu Jagran Manch.

Members Of Hindu Jagaran Manch Recite Shiva Hymns Inside Taj Mahal
Few members of Hindu Jagaran Manch allegedly sung Lord Shiva's hymns inside the Taj Mahal complex on Dussehra and claimed the monument as a Shiva Temple. Taj Mahal Reopens from Sept 21 With Strict COVID-19 Guidelines
Agra's iconic Taj Mahal has been reopened on September 21, adhering to the 'Unlock 4' guidelines. Reportedly, the site authorities have decided to allow only 5000 visitors per day. Moreover, it will be compulsory for tourists to wear masks; and clicking pictures will be strictly prohibited. Earlier, the Central government on March 17 had ordered to shut all the monuments controlled by the Archeological Survey of India.

BJP Leaders Demand to Rename Taj Mahal as "Tejolay" or "Tejo Mahal"
BJP leaders demanded to change the name of the Taj Mahal to "Tejolay" or "Tejo Mahal", on September 15. The demand came after Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath renamed the 'Mughal Museum' to 'Shivaji Maharaj Museum'. BJP leader Vinay Katiyar claimed that the Taj Mahal was a Shiva Temple and hence should be renamed. Though the opposition parties criticized the act, BJP leaders widely supported the name change.

UP: CM Yogi Adityanath Renames Mughal Museum After Chhatrapati Shivaji
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath announced renaming of an under-construction Mughal museum, near Taj Mahal, after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He told that this will invoke a feeling of nationalism and self-esteem. Asserting his regime as one nurturing nationalist ideology, he asked, "how Mughals can be our heroes?" Construction of the museum in Agra was started by former CM Akhilesh Yadav in 2016.
