SpaceX's Starship Launch Aborted At Last Second Citing Engine Failure

The latest 'Starship' mission by SpaceX was aborted with just 1.3 seconds remaining for the launch at Boca Chica, Texas, on December 8. The launch, which would have been the first high-altitude launch of 12.5 kilometres, was aborted due to an automatic-engine failure. Moreover, the cancelled model was the first to feature three raptor engines. SpaceX had earlier conducted five Starship launches, which were not higher than 150 metres.

Naegleria Fowleri, a brain-eating amoeba, has been found in the water supply of southeast Texas, and residents of eight cities have been put on alert. With putting restrictions on drinking tap water, the Texas administration has warned people to be careful, and has also issued a water advisory to them. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), these infections are rare but can be deadly.
