"Murder Of Free Speech": Congress Over Raids On Twitter Office

The Congress party has pounced upon the BJP as the Delhi Police raided Twitter India's offices on May 24, after the microblogging site recently flagged Sambit Patra's tweet as "manipulated media". Calling the raids "cowardly" act, the Opposition alleged that the actions were the "murder" of free speech. Besides, the Congress also accused the BJP of attempting to hide the "fraudulent" toolkit's truth.

Drop "Manipulated" Tag From Sambit's Toolkit Post: Centre To Twitter

Just hours after Twitter flagged BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra's 'toolkit' tweet as "manipulated media", the IT Ministry has asked the microblogging site to drop the tag. Congress and National Students Union (I) have lodged a complaint against BJP's Sambit Patra and Raman Singh over alleged "fake" toolkit associated with the Congress. The complainants stated that the toolkit was created by BJP itself by using the forged documents that intended to tarnish Congress party's image.
