The United Nations revealed that a Congolese rights group testified to them about tortures she has been going through. On June 29, the UN Human Rights said, the group representative said, she was kidnapped twice by militants in the Democratic Republic of Congo, repeatedly raped and forced to cook and eat human flesh. In a bizarre incident, a 37-year-old man - Pradeep Kumar Ram - from Bihar's Kaimur district faked his own death to escape from wife's constant torture over financial and domestic issues. Pradeep went missing on New Year's Eve after smearing the bed with goat blood. Later, on the complaint of his wife, the police found him in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur district. Counselling his wife, the police have sent Pradeep back to home.

The minorities of Uyghur community were tortured by the Chinese Government to get converted to Hans Chinese communities, ‘The Atlantic’ magazine has claimed. Reportedly 1 million Uyghurs are sent to detention camps where they are brainwashed and physically tortured. The sentiments of the religious outfit are also tormented by destroying their holy sites. The Uyghur language is also banned in Xinjiang schools.
