Only 15,000 Tourists Can Visit Mussoorie On Weekends: Uttarakhand Govt
The Uttarakhand administration tightened the rules for travelers, claiming only 15,000 people to be allowed to visit Mussoorie hill station. Announcing the development, DM R Rajesh Kumar said, ''It's mandatory for the visitors to carry RT-PCR negative report, not older than 72 hours.'' Notably, the state govt also imposed the COVID-19 induced curfew until September 7 following three cases of the ''AY 2'' Delta Plus variant were reported.

Eight Presumably Dead In Russia's Helicopter Crash
At least eight people went missing and are feared dead after a helicopter crashed into Kamchatka peninsula lake in Russia's far East. There were 16 tourists on board and some of them managed to escape via luggage doors. The rescue team was dispatched to the scene. "Thick fog may have caused the pilot to land on the water surface thinking it was land," a police source said.

China Opened The Service Of World's Highest Bungy Jumping
China has allowed domestic tourists to enjoy the world's highest bungy jumping from the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge after easing of Covid-19 restrictions. The bridge provides a height of 260 meters, where one can enjoy the jump, as well as the view of Walingyan's quartzite sandstone pillars, a World Heritage Site, declared by UNESCO. Besides, the operator Jonni Deaker has also reduced the cost to around $306 per jump.

Rs 5,000 Fine Or Eight Days Jail For Maskless People In Manali
Considering the major inflow of tourists in Manali, the authorities of Himachal Pradesh initiated the Covid-19 awareness campaign. The administration has imposed a fine of Rs. 5,000 or eight days in jail if people are seen not wearing masks. According to Kullu SP Gurudev Sharma, police have collected Rs 3 lakh from people through 300 challans. Himachal Pradesh CM Requests Tourists To Adhere To COVID-19 Norms
Following a huge influx of tourists trying to escape the heatwave, Himachal Pradesh CM Jairam Thakur has requested everyone to follow the Covid-19 protocols. "We are concerned about the number of tourists entering the state. COVID-19 is not over yet. Hotels are being asked to follow SOPs," Thakur said. Even though the second wave is subsiding, according to medical experts India is not out of the woods yet.

Only 50 Tourists Allowed To Bathe At Once In Kempty Falls
Considering a large number of tourists visiting Mussoorie's Kempty falls amid the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, the Dehradun district administration will now only allow 50 tourists at once. "There'll be a time limit of 30 minutes for each bather,'' said District Magistrate Iva Ashish Shrivastava. Notably, the restrictions were imposed after a large of tourists were seen bathing at the falls in a viral video.
