WB Polls: A First-Time Voter Shot Dead Outside The Polling Booth
A first-time voter, Anand Burman, was dragged outside the polling booth and killed in Cooch Behar district's Sitalkuchi area, on April 10, while the fourth phase of polling underway. Burman's family said the killing was instigated by TMC while BJP claims he was their polling agent. The culprit remains unidentified. The election official said, "we have sought a report". Police and Rapid Action Force was deployed to ease tension.

BJP National President JP Nadda Allegedly Attacked; Blames WB's Govt
BJP National President J P Nadda along with several other party members were attacked in car with bricks, sticks and stones on December 10. Bengal Transport Minister Suvendhu Adhikari Resigns From Cabinet
Giving signs of his exit from the Trinamool Congress, discontented Senior Minister Suvendu Adhikari has stepped down from the cabinet. Suvendhu has resigned from the post of transport and irrigation minister, but as he has not resigned from the assembly. For the past three months, he had not engaged in any party and cabinet sessions. After the resignation, Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh welcomed Suvendhu to join BJP.
