WB Polls: A First-Time Voter Shot Dead Outside The Polling Booth

A first-time voter, Anand Burman, was dragged outside the polling booth and killed in Cooch Behar district's Sitalkuchi area, on April 10, while the fourth phase of polling underway. Burman's family said the killing was instigated by TMC while BJP claims he was their polling agent. The culprit remains unidentified. The election official said, "we have sought a report". Police and Rapid Action Force was deployed to ease tension.

BJP National President JP Nadda Allegedly Attacked; Blames WB's Govt

BJP National President J P Nadda along with several other party members were attacked in car with bricks, sticks and stones on December 10. According to the reports, Nadda along with its fleet were on the way to Diamond Harbour in Kolkata, while the incident happened.
