Hyderabad: 2 Foreign Women Caught With Heroin Worth Rs 78 Cr At Airport

Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials have seized 12kg of heroin worth Rs 78 crore from two women, from Uganda and Zambia, on June 5 and 6 respectively at the Hyderabad airport. As per sources, the woman from Uganda was intercepted when she returned to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to retrieve her missing bag. Besides, the Zambian woman was caught after heroin was found in pipe-rolls of her luggage.

Uganda: 219 Prisoners Escape With Weapons; Two Killed in Search Operation

About 219 prisoners escaped from a prison in Uganda, late on September 16, along with 15 AK-47 rifles and other weapons. A military spokeswoman stated that the two prisoners were killed in a re-capturing operation and search for others is underway. "It is a mass escape, it included murderers robbers and rapists", she said. This is the third prison escape in the country since the outbreak of COVID-19 in March.
