US Deploys More Troops To Afghanistan, Warns Taliban Of Any Threat
A day after the US sent 3000 troops to war-torn Afghanistan to evacuate civilians, President Joe Biden after consulting with his national security team, raised the number of soldiers to 5,000. The move comes after the Taliban seized another capital province while advancing towards Kabul. "That puts US personnel or our mission at risk there, will be met with a swift and strong US military response", warned Biden.

US Forces To Leave Iraq By End Of 2021 Says US President Joe Biden
Following his talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa-al-Kadhimi, US President Joe Biden announced on July 26 that the US forces' mission will conclude and they will withdraw from Iraq by the end of 2021. However, the US troops will continue to train and advise the Iraqi military to its fight against ISIS (Islamic State Militant Group), Biden said. There are currently 2,500 US troops in Iraq.

Afghan Forces Oust Taliban, Gains Control Over Qala-e-Naw City
Taliban entered the Qala-e-Naw city on July 7, and launched their first official attack ever since the US started withdrawing its last troops from Afghanistan. Reportedly, Afghan forces stationed airstrikes to drive them out and take control of the city's major government buildings. "The enemy suffered heavy casualties and now we are advancing and driving the enemy out," said Special Force commander Sayed Nezami.
