Afghan Forces Oust Taliban, Gains Control Over Qala-e-Naw City
Taliban entered the Qala-e-Naw city on July 7, and launched their first official attack ever since the US started withdrawing its last troops from Afghanistan. Reportedly, Afghan forces stationed airstrikes to drive them out and take control of the city's major government buildings. "The enemy suffered heavy casualties and now we are advancing and driving the enemy out," said Special Force commander Sayed Nezami.
