In Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri, a girl was found hanging with a scarf under suspicious circumstances, informed police on October 5. It is suspected that the girl was allegedly raped and strangulated to death. The girl’s death has occurred when her parents were out of town and her sister was out for coaching. The victim’s sister upon returning home, found her hanging. An investigation is underway.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to name two leopard cubs at Gorakhpur zoo, and will also let a white tigress into the main enclosure of the zoo. In Uttar Pradesh's Rae Bareli, a class VII student allegedly committed suicide, after being beaten by a class teacher. Identified as Yash Singh, the child was thrashed by the school principal and teacher, after they caught him cheating in an exam, and committed suicide after he came back home. The Uttar Pradesh police registered a case against the school principal under the abutment of suicide and launched an investigation.

In Uttar Pradesh's Kunwarpur region, a Dalit girl, who was allegedly gangraped and set ablaze by two men on September 7, succumbed to her injuries. The victim was admitted to a hospital in Pilibhit and died on September 19. Furthermore, the deceased girl's body will be handed over to her family after conducting an autopsy. Notably, in the past few months, cases against women are rising in UP, raising concerns.
