Elon Musk who received criticism for his series of tweets on Russian invasion of Ukraine, has made another tweet stating, “War is the ultimate Supreme Court”. This too, has been criticised widely, and some have asked him to delete the tweet entirely. Musk’s tweet is being interpreted as a show of support to Russia. However, Musk has dismissed such claims and expressed his neutrality in the war.

Ukraine Suffered $1 Trillion Loss Since Beginning Of Russian Invasion: Ukraine’s Economic Advisor
A Kyiv government official said that the country of Ukraine has suffered damages worth at least $1 trillion since the beginning of the Russian invasion. Economic advisor to president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Oleg Ustenko, said that the damages include “direct and indirect costs”. He further stated that the figure is equivalent to five times Ukraine’s annual GDP. He also said, Ukraine suffered $100 billion in losses, after the first two weeks.

US Announces $2.98 Bn Military Aid To Ukraine
Amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, the United States of America has announced military aid of USD 2.98 billion to Ukraine. The announcement has come on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day on August 24, and the aid will include weapons and equipments. Furthermore, Biden congratulated Ukrainians stating, “On behalf of all Americans, I congratulate the people of Ukraine on their Independence Day”.

Four million Ukrainians have already fled their native land. Ukraine has condemned the artillery attacks. Zelensky has slammed Russia for what he has described as artillery against regular civilians.

US Offers To Intervene & Evacuate Ukrainian President From Kyiv; He Declines
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy was offered to be evacuated from the capital city of Kyiv by US, amid ongoing Russian invasion, on February 26. Zelenskyy declined the offer and decided to keep up his promise of defending Ukraine. Zelenskyy also stated that the capital city of Kyiv must be protected at all costs.
