Civil Engineer Slits Throats Of His Children; Commits Suicide
Being unemployed, thus resulting in acute depression, a civil engineer committed suicide by consuming poison after slitting the throats of his son and daughter on August 27 and August 28. His wife also consumed the poison, however, she survived. Besides, the 16-year-old son died and the daughter is in critical condition. He left a suicide note where he expressed that he was unable to bear the expenses.

Chhattisgarh HC Rules Out Marital Rape As Criminal Offense
Sexual intercourse between legally wedded husband and wife even if by force cannot be termed as “marital rape,” stated the Chhattisgarh High Court. The HC asserted that “sexual intercourse or sexual act by a man with his wife, the wife not being under 18 years of age, is not rape.” However, the court has informed that the husband can be booked under IPC Section 377 (unnatural sex).

Estranged Wife Marries Father-In-Law; Complaint Lodged
A 22-year-old man from UP's Budaun district through an RTI found that his estranged wife had married his 48-years-old father. Besides, they have a two-year-old child. Reportedly, the son had married the girl in 2016, when they were minors, but they separated due to a domestic dispute. However, the man lodged a complaint, and the investigation is underway.

UP Woman Castrates Her Husband Over Third Marriage Intention
A 57-year-old cleric has died in UP's Muzaffarnagar after her second wife castrated him on June 24. Reportedly, the second wife Hazra castrated him because he turned a deaf ear to her and was adamant to marry for the third time. The incident came to light when a neighbour informed the police while she was trying to perform his last rites. However, she has confessed to the crime.

Mumbai Woman, Lover Arrested For Allegedly Killing Her Husband
A woman from Dombivali and her lover along with his other partner were arrested by the crime branch police, Thane for allegedly killing her husband. However, a missing complaint about Pravin Patil was lodged at the Manpada police station on June 4, after which his wife, Laxmi Patil was questioned. Finding her answers elusive and incorrect, police arrested them based on her call records.
