21-Year-Old Student Killed In His College Hostel At Chennai

A 21-year-old student of Chennai's International Maritime Academy (IMA) was allegedly killed by two students on the night of December 24. The deceased, who has been identified as Aditya Sharma, hailed from Patna. He was pursuing his third-year of Bachelors in Nautical Science at IMA, Pudhuchatram. As per sources, the incident took place in the college hostel when Aditya was going to washroom around 8:00 PM. While on his way, he saw two other hostel inmates fighting over an issue. Out of those inmates, one attacked the other with an iron rod. However, the rod accidentally slit Aditya's neck, causing his death on the spot. According to the Vellavedu B7 Police, the investigation is underway, and they were looking into every aspect of the incident. Meanwhile, the deceased's family has left for Chennai.
