Researchers Develop AI To Test Diabetic Retinopathy; Result In Two Minutes
The Researchers at the Sankara Eye Foundation and Leben Care have developed an artificial intelligence 'Netra.AI' that can detect diabetic retinopathy. The system takes pictures from portable technician-operated fundus camera devices, and transfers it to a cloud-based web portal for DR grading. However, using AI Algorithms, it delivers the results. Interestingly, it concludes the results within two minutes of uploading the images. However, the disease can lead to permanent blindness if not treated on time.
