India Records 1.27 Lakh COVID Cases In 24 Hours; Positivity Rate Dips By 7.9%
According to reports, India recorded over 1.27 lakh cases on February 4, taking the death toll in the country to around 5 lakh. At present, the Omicron variant is the dominant variant of SARS-CoV-2 in the country. The top five states which have registered maximum cases are Kerala, followed by Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, India's central drug authority has granted restricted emergency use of single-dose of Sputnik.
