40 Muslim Students Abstain From Appearing For PU Exam In Karnataka: Hijab Row
In Karnataka's Udupi region, 40 Muslim girl students who were hurt by the Karnataka HC's decision to not allow wearing hijabs in institutions, abstained from appearing for the first pre-university examination. Those who shunned the examination on March 29, included 24 students from Kundapur, 14 from Byndoor and two from Udupi Government Girls PU college. Reportedly, few students who attempted to appear for the exams wearing Hijab, were denied entry.
