Andhra Pradesh's Anantapuramu District Selected For PM Kisan Award

Andhra Pradesh's Anantapuramu district will receive this year's Prime Minister Kisan national award for attaining 99.6% physical verification of the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi initiative. The honour will be conferred to District Collector Gandham Chandrudu in New Delhi on February 24. Reportedly, of the total 5,76,972 beneficiaries in 2020-21, 28,269 farmers were randomly chosen for the verification and only 235 of them were found to be ineligible for the scheme.
