Bihar Holi Mela: Stalls Owned By Women Entrepreneurs Bag Rs 45L In 5 Days
The five-day 'Holi Mela' in Patna, Bihar reported a whopping overall sale of Rs 45 lakh as it concluded on March 21. The fair, reportedly, hosted 104 stalls owned by women entrepreneurs hailing from Bihar, Bengal, Maharashtra, UP, Jharkhand and Gujarat. Organized by Bihar Mahila Udyog Sangh, the stalls offered eco-friendly item, craftworks and organic colours. Commending women’s participation, NABARD-Bihar CGM Sunil Kumar said, "Their self-reliance will strengthen the state and its economy."
