Fire At Mumbai Hospital Kills Six; Over 70 COVID Patients Shifted
A massive fire at Mumbai’s Bhandup-based COVID-19 care, Sunrise Hospital, on March 25 has killed at least six people. The makeshift hospital built on the third floor of the Dreams Mall caught fire at late night, forcing shifting of around 70 COVID-19 patients, including seven on ventilator support, to different hospital. While the proximate cause of fire is yet to be ascertained, Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar has ordered for a detailed investigation of the accident.
