IMD Announces Withdrawal Of Monsoon; India Receives 7% Excess Rain In Oct

IMD has announced that India received 7% excess rainfall during October 1-28 and is now witnessing a withdrawal of the monsoon. Reportedly, the monsoon withdrawal that usually happens by October 15 has seen a delay this year, and withdrew on October 28. However, IMD has noticed a cyclonic-circulation in Bay of Bengal and has warned of scattered rains in few states including Kerala and Maharashtra between October 29-November 2.
