In a gunfight between militants and army jawans, two unidentified militants were killed in south Kashmir's Shopian district, said a senior police officer on October 20. Meanwhile, three army soldiers were also got injured who ''have been evacuated to a hospital''. Reportedly, the gunfight occurred between the army and militants when Army and CRPF launched a search operation in the Cheerbag area of Dragad village.

Assam Police General Director, GP Singh confirmed on September 18 that two militants of the ULB (United Liberation of Bodoland) have been killed on September 17 during a fire exchange. As per police reports, the two militants were killed by the Assam Police at their camp in Assam's Kokrajhar district. However, pistols and grenades were also recovered at the camp of the Militants.

However, the confirmation comes only after he was identified by the Taliban army on September 9 during the clash in the Panjshir valley. Reportedly, he was tortured and executed by the Taliban fighters.

Former U.S Marine officer Bryan Riley who is claimed to be suffering from mental health issues allegedly killed at least four people, including an infant and an 11-year-old on September 5. However, the 33-year old has no criminal history and was a war hero. After his arrest, he was sent to a hospital for treatment and is expected to recover and will be sent to jail against the charges.

Following the celebratory gunfire in Afghanistan's capital Kabul, at least 17 people scummed to their injuries and 41 persons were reported wounded on September 3, according to media reports. Haryana’s Kundli police arrested four accused migrant labourers for raping and killing two minor sisters at a village in Sonipat. The 14-year-old and 16-year old victims after being raped were forced to consume insecticides. The case happened on the intervening night of August 5 and August 6. The victims were rushed to the hospitals however, one was reported dead on arrival while the other died during treatment.

Bihar's Muzzafarpur police have arrested a man named Sushant Pandey, including three of his aids who killed and mutilated the genitals of the 17-year-old Saurabh Kumar on July 23. Reportedly, ''Pandey called the victim Saurabh to his house'' and killed him for having a love affair with his sister. ''Post mortem is being done and further details.
