India Eyeing To Achieve Zero Emissions Target By 2050: Officials
The Indian government is eyeing to eliminate the greenhouse gas emissions in the country by 2050, said government officials. The officials stated that deliberations are being carried to figure out ways through which the net-zero emission target can be achieved by 2050, if not by 2047. Reportedly, India is under global pressure to set a time-frame in this regard before the Glasgow Climate Summit this year. Interestingly, China has set a net-zero target for 2060.
