India Launches 42nd Communication Satellite CMS-01; 2nd In Pandemic
Amidst the pandemic, the ISRO has launched India's 42nd communication satellite CMS-01 on December 17. The satellite is expected to provide services covering the Indian mainland, the Andaman-Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep in the Extended-C Band of the frequency. Moreover, the satellite will be the latest addition to India's series of communication satellites, following the GSAT and INSAT. Interestingly, this is the second satellite launched by ISRO after the pandemic.
