Karnataka HC Order Abolishing ‘Anti-Corruption Bureau’ Appealed In SC
An appeal has been filed in the Supreme Court of India, challenging the order of Karnataka High Court on abolishment of “Anti-Corruption Bureau”. The petition was reportedly submitted before a bench headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana. Karnataka HC in August, abolished the Anti-Corruption Bureau which was set up in 2016, by Siddaramaiah-led Congress government. The court then transferred all pending cases to Lokayukta police division.
