Kolkata: Daily Life Disrupted After Trade Unions' Strike, Rallies
The nationwide strike on November 26, called by several trade unions, disrupted the daily life in many parts of West Bengal. The strike was aimed against the economic policies of the Centre. CPI(M)- affiliated outfits like CITU and DYFI carried out rallies in major areas of Kolkata, including Jadavpur, Dumdum and Garia, asking owners to shut their shop to make the strike successful. Besides vehicular movements, train services were also disturbed.
