Menstruating Women Denied Vaccine, No Proof Of Side Effects
A few health workers have allegedly suggested women get the vaccine jab five to six days after the menstruation cycle in North Karnataka cities like Raichur, Belagavi, and Bidar. "No directive was issued from the health and family welfare department," said a Belgavi woman who was denied vaccine. However, the Belagavi district Immunization Officer IP Gadad said that vaccines administered during the menstruation cycle do not cause any side effects.
